Allright, from the information we have, it's a Swedish Model 1896 rifle in 6.5x55, made at Carl Gustafs Stads Gevaersfaktori in 1913. It is a standard bolt-action rifle, small ring receiver, bent cocking-piece and it's just like another 300,000 of its pals.
1913: they were making them slowly that year, having just about caught up with re-equipping their entire Army. This would have been a very well-made and accurate rifle. A friend of mine has its mate and he does very well in the local competitions.
About this 317 problem: exactly WHERE do you find these numbers? What parts? Are they on wood only, or metal only, or metal and wood both? I mean, sometimes, the entire innards of a bolt would be interchanged for the entire innards of another bolt (it all comes out in one assembly) and this will mess up your serial numbering (I have this on a Chileno 95).
So if we know a little more, we can tell you a little more.
Pictures would REALLY help.
