Hi was given a 1914 pattern luger. Its marked with a 1915 "DWM". Its in pretty rough shape and I believe the previous owner never assembled it properly. I was wondering if there is any business in Canada that specializes in such guns. I would like it restored or at least return it to working condition. The mag is in pretty hard shape and would like a replacement as well.

The disassembly lever on the front left looks kind of messed up.... is this a dewat? This is important to establish, I think, before we carry on here.

Looks like a piece with some character!

Will the toggle open fully? It may be improperly assembled or have damaged parts.Mecgar magazines are good to use for a shooter assuming you are allowed to fire it in Canada. They function better than a lot of the originals.

go on youtube , and follow the luger disassembly , inspect for damage. removing the firing pin was a common way to deactivate them back in the day.

Messed up is a polite term for broken. I am willing to bet that old girl is chambered in 7.63 Luger as well. Nice gift.

Could be the toggle spring behind the magwell is not properly connected. Like gaff said get some internet tutorials how to disassemble and reassemble, its not difficult if you have technical knowhow can follow instructions.
