Hi,
I recently acquired a 1915 Carl Gustaf's 6.5 x 55mm Swede Target Rifle with a heavy barrel. It is a gorgeous gun but very heavy. It has a different rail than I have seen under the fore stock to accommodate a bipod. When I have searched for a suitable bipod but I have not seen any that would easily attach. Any guidance or sources would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Dave

If you are handy, you can make your own adapter. You need a piece of round, or square that fits in the rail, and tightens up with a screw down the centre against a lower piece that fits the chosen bipod. You could do this with a threaded sling stud.

In a similar situation, I have made a little piece that slides in the T-slot, with a conventional sling swivel stud projecting above the stock line. Then a regular Harris bipod can be installed. Tightening the Harris locks the unit in place wherever desired along the length of the rail.

Double check the dimension so that it's not Freeland rail. Since it's a European rifle, there's a good chance it's Anschutz. But I've run into issues in the past wasting time and money on the wrong part.

I just make them out of a stove bolt for guys who have Harris bipods .
