1917 L.E. how do I know when FTR'D?

Hi there, I have an England stamped 1917 L.E. no1 mkiii* that has crude "FTR" marked on side but no year. Tones of stamps on receiver and barrel including a '44. Where do I look to find the year of FTR?

Still working on the full wood stock with BLO... I have all the metal bits waiting to de-sporterize.

1944 would be my guess by the barrel date.Make sure you have the fore-end stud and spring for it.

That was my guess too just not sure if I was reading the markings wrong. Maybe done just in time for D-day! Lol

Yes I have all the parts ready including the forend stud and spring.
