Just acquired an excellent example of one of these fine Rifle, No. 2 Mk. IV .22Lr training rifles that was made in 1924 with a proper .22 barrel (not a sleeved .303 one).

Anybody else have one or know much about these rifles?

The bore and wood on this example are in excellent condition and judging from the bolt face and general condition I don't think it was used much!

I will take some pictures and post them soon too!

Don't discount the "parker rifled" 22 sleeve; however, I've also got one with a solid barrel that is two groove.

I recently had one made in 1932 that was in nice shape, but wouldn't group under 1.5" at 50 yds, so I traded it away. Wish I could have kept it and the gun I traded it for. If yours shoots well, hang onto it.
