1928 Izzy hex receiver mosin 91

Hi,

Recently acquired 1928 hex with non matching bolt and bayo, everything else matching original parts, excellent bore on it and shoots 3 inch groups at 100 meters. Read online that these were prototypes prior to 1930 mass productions and that are called Dragoons?? Hammer and cycle crest with izsvehk mark and 1928r nice condition no rust or pitting and wood is good with no cracks or damage.

Any feedback on rarity and value from you experts would be appreciated.

Not a super rare rifle, but a nice one for sure. To check if its an ex Dragoon, look under the rear sight. If it has a straight/squared cut where the sight sits on the barrel then its an ex Dragoon.

Checked under the sight and yes it is the straight cut just like on the picture you provided!

If it's a refurb probably the same or a little more than a wartime mosin.

There are half a dozen pre wars on the ee and they are getting bumped quite a bit.

There are a lot of pre war, namely 1920's decade mosins on the market currently. I have two, and consider them my favorite.
They are often pulled from crates and sold for the same price as other Mosins. ($170-200). Independant buyers then turn around and list them for more ($230-250) with little luck turning that small profit.
