Hey all,

Picked up this new H and R Folding 20 gauge single at the gun show today. I've done some searching and this model was built from 1928 to 1942. Wondering if I can use modern ammunition with it? Suspect with my serial it was around 1935 built. I took it apart to clean it and everything looks ok to me. Can anyone confirm the firing pin in this model is supposed to be floating? Thanks!

^^^ I agree.
Nice find. Love that case hardening, looks great. Also make that receiver hard A.F.
Have a similar.model. in 12 and 10 GA.. both have case hardening also.. nice stripping in your receiver, by the way!!!.
Lock up is tight?
Action release dosent stick open?
2 things I look for

Enjoy...

Thanks guys! Yeah it seems to lock up tight. Barrel fits tight to the face. It takes 2 3/4 only...will try a target load today and see how it goes. After cleaning and adjustment the extractor works great as well...launches my snap caps.
