1940 Izhevsk svt 40 markings?

Can anyone give me more info on what these markings mean?

This pic Im wondering about the one under the SN. Looks like a pair of hammers. This same mark also appears on the stock

They are most likely some kind of inspection mark, they mean nothing really.

The square by the Izhevsk marking means it started out life as a SVT-38, but was modified to a 40.

That's a refurb mark if I'm not mistaken. The flat part where the year is stamped was longer on the svt 38 it was more of a rectangle, that's a square so it's a svt 40

Yep, refurb mark, SVT-40. The identifying factor, as Caleb noted, being the short receiver bridge (the SVT-38's receiver bridge is about 3/16" longer, looks rectangular in comparison to the 40). Circle K is an accuracy proof, the remainder are inspection stamps.
