1942 Savage Enfield No.4 mk1* 1/3 all Matching including Mag

A Mk.I, II, III or IV rear sight. Factory rifles from Savage and Long Branch often came with the Mk.II L shaped battle sight, but there's no reason why you couldn't see any of the approved Mk's on the rifle.

Hi Win 97. No. 4 rifles upgraded to the Mk II trigger system (trigger pinned to the body) and all new manufacture No.4 Mk 2 service
rifles had the Mark I (Singer type) sight installed upon conversion or in the case of the Mk 2 new manufacture. The 2 position battle aperture and the stamped Mk II and III sights were wartime expedients. In most cases the conversion work was done by Fazakerly so
a Fazakerly made sight should be installed. Easy to get one. Canada only maintained the stamped sights. John

Is the sight you are referring to the one with the adjustment dial?

The Mk.I sight is often referred to as the click micrometer type. Not the easiest one in the world to find anymore, for a reasonable price.
