I dreamed of one. Never thought I'd have one. But here it is:
Recently I was very, very lucky!!! Not only did I find someone that had the LB No4T (for the last 45-50 years), but he was willing to sell and I had the money!
Long Branch No4 MkI* T 1945
REL Mk3 Scope
All matching, 'Maltese Crosses' in the correct places. Scope number is matched onto butt and rifle number onto scope mount. Bore and bolt face absolutely MINT! The wood almost perfect (as shown).
I'm pretty sure it never saw service and round count is very low (I added a few last night)!
Shoots like a tack-driver!
Rifle has 'ENGLAND' export mark in the normal spot (right side of receiver).
Came with extra goodies. Sniper Box, British canvas scope can (of course not matching), original lens cap, sling, box of 1943 ammo and the Original Inspection tag!
If anyone is an expert on the Canadian versions (I know more about the Brits) I'm ready to listen and learn...
