Hi, would someone know what is the marking on my last Tokarev ?

What I know : Tokarev TT33 1945, Izhevsk arsenal mark, seems to have the refurbishing mark but not a complete square ...it's two vertical line with a diagonal...I assume that it should be the refurbish mark...

What I am look for : a big specific Triangle with ''ARZ'' inside, on the left side of the rail, cannot find anything on the web... + there is a ''K-5'' in a rectangular mark on the trigger guard ?

This Tok is like it was almost not use, the trigger ''kit'' inside is just like new, still very stiff to trigger...I can see that the fire pin is in very good condition..., and the inside of the rail shows no signs of use (almost), the inside of the barrel ..well it's like it was brand new ) ...., it as only some minor small scratchs here and there on the blue, but it's a 1945 !! I pretty sure that I've found a good one, can't wait to try it

thanks for any help,

JeanD.

I have one like it. I believe the markings are Yugoslavian and similar to the more familiar "TRZ" markings sometimes found on rifles. The heavy leather tan flap holster mine came in is almost certainly Yugoslav.

What year you have ? yes I know that Yugoslavia did Tok for some year, however I think it was the M57 with a 8 rounds mags..., and mine has the Izhevsk mark on it, the rail do have the typical groove of the TT33.

The ''ARZ'' mark in the triangle is much bigger than the usual size for the identification of arsenal and other marks....I wonder if it is a personnal identification added once in the hand of the user......

My Tok is an Izhevsk 1945 with wood grips. The marking you describe is identical to mine. It would be pretty much certain that Tito was supplied with Russian made arms intially. I have seen M1944 mosins with typical Yugolsavian "TRZ" refurb markings.

Well, that could make sense, maybe it was refurbish with a new barrel and upper rail from yugoslavian,....., i went to the shooting range today and shot 420 rounds with it; the barrel and rail were brand new I am sure;, with the first 2 mags I've encounter 3 jams, nothing else after...., and once at home cleanning the rail, I'v notice all new normal markings from the rail moving on the frame, like any pistol have after 500+ rounds ....., this Tok is a nive shooter, pretty well sure that it should be a reliable one ....

I have 5 magazine for the Tok, when empty the rail stays open like usual, however, each time I remove one particular mag, the rail automaticaly close by itself, lolll funny what you can find with those Tok .....

Thanks for the info..

Jean.
