I don't see a rifle.
I'm guessing this is thread to stir up a debate surrounding your little tiff with Westrifle?

1949 Tula with a Chinese spike, sold as a 1949 Tula with a russian "parade" spike.

But it isn't a parade spike. It is definitely Chinese.

As for the sponsor. I pm'd him and made him aware of the spike being of Chinese origin before the rifle sold. I was told it wasn't, that the rifle was all russian, and I wasn't going to push the issue further.

I've bought several SKS from the sponsor and have never had a problem. Just couldn't understand how they wouldn't know.

I'm curious, i can't tell from the picture, how do you know it is a chinese spike? If it's just for the fact that "russians have blade bayonets" most 1949 sks's i have seen have had the spike bayonet.
Are there chinese symbols on it or anything the points to it being chinese?

Quote from Yooper John. Sks guru/expert in the US..after seeing pics of this rifle,

"I think someone took the blade bayonet off and put on a spike to make it look more original but failed.# It is a refurb and lots of them had different stocks and blade bayonets put on.# It does appear to be a chinese bayonet.
#
A blade bayonet would make it more original to being a refurb.

Quote from Al..

Jim it is the last 1949 that I had in stock. I had pictures of it online before you purchased you looked at them. This was probably parade Sks and it is the way it came to us. It is in no way Chinese spike bayonet. Please take a look at it again.
Can you please email me at master@wrstrifle.com

Al

Yes..one very tiny pic.

And another from Al,

"Jim the biggest problem for me that it is original bayo. It is not Chinese. This is something that you and I can not agree on.

Al"

As for the great customer service.. ive been trying to negotiate something for two weeks. He wont budge an inch. Ie price reduction or send me a russian blade bayo and we will call it a day. But no luck. I considered the return option but knowing id lose some 20% on this plus shipping, i was hesitant at first. After almost two weeks of crap..i agreed to return it. Al said he would get me a return number.I guess i called his bluff because now he has gone into ignore mode. Ya great customer service.

Russian spikes are 4 groove, Chinese are 3.
