I have a 1950 long branch with a couple oddities that I am wondering about. I have figured out that the 6 stamped on the barrel lug means that it's a six grove barrel but there are are a few more things I'm curious about. Firstly the but plate has been what almost looks like studding but is probably done with a hollow punch, secondly just in front of the target swivel ahead of the magazine the wood has had a piece recessed out and a piece of walnut put in. There is a T under the C broad arrow on the fore stock. The serial number seems to have been ground of and re stamped before it was blued or parkered (doesn't have a green hue) it's different than what I have read as it has numbers in a XLXX then in different numbering a 88 with dashes above them. The bolt has matching serial number. Any information would be helpful
