1950 Tula SKS question

The SKS is new to me, have not owned one before. Was too good a deal to pass up.
No electro pencil and all numbers match. Just would like to know if the bore is
chromed.

Non chromed bore,(-) spring loaded firing pin instead of a free floating one (+). No big deal, as long as you follow proper cleaning procedures if you fire corrosive ammo.

As stated, not chrome. But the barrel is the easy part to clean anyway...funnel/hot water....bore snake...oil/patch...clean patch...done.

There are some that claim the non-chrome barrel is SLIGHTLY more accurate...like half a moa...

The early ones can have chrome bores too if they were refurbed and a chrome one installed. Still doesn't really matter as long as you clean after shooting. Non chromed are thought to be more accurate than chromed though...
