Hello
I’m going to take a look at 1951 waffle top tomorrow that the guy claims is in new condition.
Won’t have any pictures until tomorrow.

So if this is in new condition what’s the gun worth? Approximately.

Guy wants $1300 firm

how much does it cost for a time machine again?

I love Marlins. I have a few models. Waffle top was not on my radar. Had a friends dad with one and its pretty mint. I picked it as an investment piece. I know it will go up. I paid $900 worth every penny last year. I have also been buying for 35 years. There has been a substantial jump in some guns in the past 5 years that I think it a bit unreasonable. I would assume its 30-30. if it not. good luck getting 32 special ammo.

If its a gun you want your want to pass down to your kids or grand kids, just do it. I think its a bit high. I would not go over $1100 unless its so new, the lever has sharp burs on it that you cab feel. Also think, will you kick your self in a month or two for not paying more. Your decision. Hope to see pics soon if you do move ahead.

PS I hope you know you will go to hell if you drill and tap to add a scope mount. That baby is iron sights only.

I already got a a 59 marlin 3030 in good shape and a pre64 1984 in excellent shape.

Just wasn’t sure if these waffle tops demanded a premium?
I’ll post up a few pics tomorrow.

I know the guy personally and he said it looks brand new.

And yes ,it’s tirdy-tirdy…haha

i wouldn't put more than 1000$ into it know matter how new it looks the market has softened a bit many for sale they are not that rare if it's something you want then that's fine but 1300$ is full on retail

RDSC has this beauty listed as backordered..... all for the sweet before tax and shipping price of $1949.99!
I mean it's no waffletop and it's not a classic example of a fine rifle from yesteryear.... but at around $2200 all in it's a no brainer!

I see bulk boxes of Federal 550 .22lr are up around $75 bucks now... I sort of wish they were still $15 at Canadian Tire, but what are you going to do about it except ask for a raise right before your job get's replaced by tech.

Lot's of people living in the past when it comes to today's inflated prices.

:)
