Just acquired this 30" barrel in about 85-90% condition 12ga no rib. 2 3/4" chambered.I believe they final ones made were in 1963?

Look at the adjustment sleeve for the barrel. It should have several adjustment notches available, meaning located in the first or second notch, or value drops significantly.
Fitting a new adjustment sleeve to a Model 12, that is out of adjustment notches, is no trivial task.

This one was hardly shot by the looks of it.Thought they would be worth a little more.

Plain barrel hunting guns are just so common these days. Since yours seems to be in high condition, you might try for more.
The last Gun Show that I was at, pre-Covid, there were a number of good plain barrel 12 gauge guns, with a bit worn bluing and use, but no abuse - call them Good+. Price ran up to $300. 2 of them sold in the last few minutes of the show for $200 each.

From what i've read Win 12's can handle steel if need be provided they are mod choked like the Rem 870's.

Can’t find them for that out west, every one that has a mod 12 thinks they are holding onto gold. 400$ for a very average one but usually 500$+. I’ve owned several , never bought one half assed for less than 375.

Nothing special about 870 chokes, full choke is full choke, and I wouldn’t shoot steel from any old gun with that marked on it unless you’re intentionally trying to ruin it.
