1964 700 Remington 7mm bdl value?

What’s it worth? Not a hunter so someone could used it as a trunk gun and not worry about scratching it up like a high end Sako, Weatherby etc. Iron sights are long gone. Scope is cloudy so probably a write off but the rifle has a strong bore. The rifle had some very light surface rust but I gently clean it off. Trigger is ok, maybe 4.5-5lbs but no creep, breaks clean. Wondering if I should keep the action and build a .300 win mag tac M40 on the cheap? Or just sell it out right for whatever?

Those old weaver adjustable mounts are not very common
I’d think the bare gun is worth 500$ or so

Worth about $500 as shown.

It's a nice old survivor. I'd find a set of sights for it, have it bedded and top it with a gloss Leupold. Make a nice old classic rifle.

The scope and rings-mounts are JUNK but the rifle is a good hunting rifle- a 64 rem m700 has a stainless steel barrel on it Like Buck says it's a 500 $ rifle jmo RJ
