1970 Santa Barbara 7.62×51 corrosive?

Just wondering if anybody knows either way if Santa Barbara (Spain) 7.62x51 NATO from 1970 is corrosive or not?
I have a bunch I got from Century Arms when they were still in Canada, and I can't remember now if it was or wasn't. I think not, but I'm not 100% sure.

I don't believe it is corrosive, but if the box says it's Nato-spec, and the box and headstamp have the Nato cross, it is definitely non.

not sure but if your shooting it in a nice rifle I'd clean as if it were corrosive. boiling water dry if it and oil. just to be on the safe side. see if it's berdan or boxer after you shoot one round.

"see if it's berdan or boxer after you shoot one round"

Not sure what you meant by this, but the style of primer has no bearing on whether it is corrosive or not. There is non-corrosive Berdan and corrosive Boxer.

Maybe before Spain was in NATO?

Well excuse me Jonnyc. why I said to check if it's boxer or berdan was to see if it's reloadable. that's all . boxer primed stuff from WW2 is corrosive. it looks like Military ammo because the primer looks to be crimped in somewhat . I guess I had better be totally correct. have fun shooting it.

It is non corrosive.

The brass in the web is very low. I saw it blow out the side in a rifle that had excess headspace.

I would not use it in a rifle that had any unsupported chamber area like a M14.

I would be shooting it in a Remington 700.
I'll section one to see the web. It is Berdan.
