Have a chance to pick up a 142### serial Browning Trombone in 90% shape. I would like to know what a fair price for this gun would be. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

dont know,

condition really. Good wood/blueing/bore maybe 250. these things are a specific market only, you can buy much better quality and operation now a days.

have to say pretty cool piece of history, but for me? Meh...

Ninety percent?
It should classify as a collector and five brown ones I don't think
would cover it.

$250.................bah........humbug.

Yes, bah hum bug on $250 Certainly much more than that.

Clegger, If you mean better quality with lots of plastic an pop metal parts then by all means.

250?! Better quality nowadays?!!! Come on now.
I don't think I've seen a functioning one sell for less than $400.
They ain't making them anymore and they are awesome.

Too bad it was likely drilled and tapped for that scope, still very tempting too bad it isn't a older version I'd be on it, first powder gun I shot was grandpas trombone, use to hunt gophers all the time with it and him, uncle has it now and not for sale.

The Tradex example was a very good deal in todays market. I suspect the missing elevator and the surface rust prompted them to put it at a low price. 1970's Trombone's with blond wood, with the integral scope rail and in very good condition have been selling for between $600 and $1000 on CGN in the last year.

It would be nice to see a photo...is it anything like this?
