I inherited it and don't really have a solid idea of value. It's a 22-250, I believe it's a 1980 (A serial), nice Tasco scope with bi-pod and hard case.

Would I be better off selling the items separately?. It's kinda a nice vintage setup my Dad had in the 80's, no real big nicks or blemishes I'd rate 9.5/10 maybe.

Wow , that's quite a scope ! I'm going to follow this to see what guys say . Is that a heavy barrel rifle ? If you don't know measure the end . Do you know how much he used it and for what ?

Yeah it's a thick barrel...I just logged off the difficult Photobucket where I have a pic lol. If I had to guess how many shots were put thru I'd say 100 but perhaps more realistic estimate to be safe 200. He liked to plink and target shoot but it was always in the closet. It hasn't been fired since the 80's.

That's a 700 BDL Heavy Barrel Varmint rifle... very accurate.

Sell the scope and bi pod separately for more money to you... but someone may want the package as is...

I'd sell seperate, the rifle should fetch $600. Not sure on the scope but it does look like something a collector would buy

To the right buyer, the gun could fetch upwards to $700 if the barrel is low mileage as you suspect. I'd keep it together for sales with the option to separate the gun/scope if a buyer wants the gun only. The scope , unfortunately, I can't help you out with as it looks to be externally adjusted. I know nothing of that type of scope. The whole setup looks really good though.

Thanks guys for the info I appreciate it, yeah I just want to get a fair ballpark so I can write a decent EE ad and not look like a tool.

I was just told that the pic of the barrel makes it look worn so I'll try another...I thought it was a cool pic lol.

This is the best pic of rifling I could get after 2hrs of setting up tripods and lights and fiddling with camera. I'll stand behind this gun being low use. I'll put it all in EE.

You'll regret selling that.

I don't want to keep bumping this thread but I know...kinda, I don't have a use for it...yet, I'm almost thinking after xmas I'll list not least of which is shipping and how the carriers get bombarded. Anyway I found the original bill of sale...I was right 1980!.

To many it is worth a lot to others it is just another used rifle.
I Recently paid 4 bills for one that was made in Dec 65. Surprisingly the shape it was in was worth it. I bore scoped the barrel and was surprised how well it looked. It shoots well enough as well.
For me the rifle sort of meant something as it is only 3 months older than myself and still going strong.
Remember everyone is looking for a great deal......
