1991A1 Magazine Interchangability

I own a Colt 1991A1, and am considering purchasing some extra mags. I am wondering if standard 1911 mags will function properly in the 1991A1 given it's Series 80 safety enhancements? If anyone is is the know, I would appreciate your advice. Thanks!

All 1911 mags made to spec will fit any 1911 frame.

The Series 80 improvements (barf) don't affect the mags.

The series 80 safety has absolutely nothing to do with mag feeding , go get yourself some high quality mags and enjoy .

Thank you gentlemen. Nice to know I can simply use more "affordable" mag as opposed to forking out cash for mint ones from Colt!

If you dont care whether they look stock then Id go for a set of Chip McCormick 8 or 10rnders. They are a good mag and run about $25-$40 each. They both have a nice pad on the bottom to help in the reload.

Advice here already good to go... Get yourself some good quality mags though. Worth every extra penny spend.
