1in7 twist 223 what grain bullet..

Heavier the better. 62 grn minimum I would say....55grn might not work as well as it would in a 1/9 or 1/12... but then again, I've only owned 1/9 and 1/12!

Again, depends what you wanna do with it!
 
55 and up. I have 2 1:7 colt 20" AR barrels that even shoot 45 fine (I've only shot the 45 out to 100m, so unknown after that....).
 
I had a 1:7 .222 and found that it would shoot all bullet weights from 50 -70 grs very well. The only difficulty I discovered was that some of the 50 gr. light jacketed varmint bullets - such as Sierra Blitz or Hornady SX - would come apart in flight.
