Looking for a new scope for a 300 win mag. Using it for hunting up to 500 yard shots.

My vote goes to the Swarovski. I have several of them and love them all. The clarity is amazing and the tracking is solid on the variable optics.

You might also consider the Vortex Razor HD LHT. The two scopes in the range are second focal plane and 3-15x42mm and 3-15x50mm with center dot lighted reticles and weigh 19.1 and 20.5 ozs. I believe these scopes are targeted at the same market as the Nightforce SHV scopes, but are lighter in weight, also similar purpose names! i.e Light Hunter Tactical and Shooter Hunter Varmint. They appear to be made in Japan,
