#1Mk3 and #4Mk1 mag differences

Hi all
Not sure if this has been posted before, but can anyone tell me what the differences there are between the two?

lenght of rib on the back of the mag is the big difference

Different method of construction. The no. 4 mags look like they are deep punched on a die. Bottom edges are rounded. Mk lll bottoms are square and appear to be brazed on.

The radii cut into the sides of the NO.4 mag go all the way to the bottom of the mag. The No. 1 mk.3 radii stop short of the lower edge of the mag.

The spring at the front is different, and the overall shape is slightly differnet as well. One will fit into the magwell of another (can't remember which one) but you will ruin the mag in doing so.

You got it reversed. The grooves in the Number 4 Magazine stop short of the lower edge and the grooves in the Number 1 Magazine are full length down the sides of the magazine.
