1st annual Rememberance Match

All shooters,

WRAS is putting on a final 3 Gun for the 2012 season. We are going to be donating all the proceeds to Valor Place (http://valourplace.ca/).

From their website;
Valour Place is a temporary home away from home for all Canadian Forces members, Families of the Fallen, Veterans and RCMP along with their families who require medical treatment in Edmonton.

We will be putting on 5 or 6 stages and may do a team shoot, basically 3 people, one shoots pistol, one shoots shotgun and one shoots rifle or we may try a rolling thunder stage.

Come out for a good time a support a great place and cause.

Hope to see all the usual suspects on the range.

Bring what you have or send pm in what you need and some of us bring extra gear. As for experience, you only get it with coming out and shooting.

So, as a nonmember $45 match fee +$10 day pass? I do have me some shiny new rifle and pistol and bulk boxes of ammo...but I don't have a ride or holster or any other similar "competition" type gear, and riding with a stranger is a dubious proposition. Ah, I wonder how many people would have heart attacks if I tried a stage with my single-shot Handi Rifle instead of my AR15.

My inner masochist actually wonders how long it would take to bike out there. I need to stop thinking about this stuff late at night, though I could use the exercise. Haha, I was born late. My ridiculous ideas are going to get me arrested again.

Well sorry to say, but with the foot of snow we received and the -20 temps called for on Saturday, We are going to cancel the match, but please look in Valour Place and if you can, support it and take the minute at 11:00am to remember those that have paid the ultimate sacrifice and still serve today.
