I just found out that I had a family member that served with the 1st Canadian Tank Battalion as a Lieutenant. Now I know they never seen combat as they were still training but I would like to know more.

You try getting a hold of Veterans Affairs? They might be able to give you all the info on your relative they have.

As for the unit You could try and get a hold of the armored museums and see if they have any info.

Thanks for the hints! Received a PDF with about 36 various scans of documents concerning his career

I put his name in and there are 46 pages of his service records that you can view, print or download at your convenience.

That is the PDF I got. 46 pages although some scans are just blank pages
