1st day out for me..for the year

I went out this a.m. to sit in my treestand at 1st light, after whitetail. The wind was picking up at a steady pace when at about 0845 I decided I could'nt take the weaving back & forth motion no longer. So I headed to other side of the property I had access to, hoping to setup in an area where I harvested a buck last year. I packed along my Dad's old Win88/.308 and was shooting 150gr Nosler factory 2nds I got online last year, with 43.5grs Varget. Well, only 200+ yards in, this guy popped out behind me only 20yds away, he took a look at me and before he could decide to vacate the area I cleanly put a bullet thru his shoulder an out his ribcage, he went 67 steps back into the bush and it was only 0927am. This was the 1st kill for this hand-me-down rifle

Well you finally dirtied up that 88! Hopefully more of the same on Saturday - only with muzzleloaders.

Yepper's!! I'm taking Lily Grace out with me today to a different spot(same property) to sit in my pop-up blind (tent as Lily calls it). Hopefully the high winds from yesterday did'nt blow it away to Edgerton.
Muzzleloader a go-go!!!
