Congrats. I just received my first 226 2 weeks ago, might fire it tomorrow. There's lots of instructions on how to post photo. I use photo bucket, but there are lots of sites. I don't want to detract from your thread so please post photos when you can.

Wish I bought a 226 as my first pistol. There are some German refurbs that hit the market that are priced pretty well. Grade 2 refurbs are around $699.

I grabbed one of these too, can't tell its refurbished at all, not a scratch on it, and the action is like butter. LIKE BUTTER!

You have an Elite model, I was thinking you just bought a base 226. Good choice, my Enhanced Elite is my fave pistol. I sold my base 226 and P239 (regret that one actually). Loved that pistol. My German P220 rocks as well.

I know some have stated that quality has gone down on the new Sigs, but I've never had any flaws or failures with any of the Sigs I've owned. They're great pistols.

I Still have it, love it and shoot it often.

It's a slippery slope you've started down...my sig addiction led to this most recent one.
