Hey guys,
Tought I would post this to make you drool a little.

I finaly got all the parts I need to do my first precision build.
It was a long process to get all this (almost a year) but it is finally going to the smith next week to get assembled.

here was my shopping list:

Barrel: Krieger m24 contour 11.25 twist .308 (still not shure what lenght I'll get it cut to)
Stock: Mcmillan A5 with all the bells and whissles
Action: Stiller Tack30 short action
Trigger: Timney
DBM: M5 with AI mags
Accessories: Badger thruster muzzle break, badger mini bolt knob and atlas bipod with quick release picatinny mount.

So this is it, let me know what you think and most of all, thanks to Sean at North shore barrels for his good service and help.

You have a great pile of parts there....will be an awesome rifle when it's all together!
There are lots of opinions on barrel length, but for .308 22" is a nice compramise and has good balance.
Look forward to the finished result!

Nice, good components you have chosen. Is Sean doing the assembly as well?

No Sean is not douing the build. It's a gunsmith in Montreal Karl Tellier who will have the honor of putting it together

Can you tell me where you got the front rail on the stock?

I got it installed by Mcmillan when I ordered the stock...

But I know Badger ordonnance makes one verry similar to mine, Wolverine Supplies is the official distributor for badger, give them a call.
Accushot also makes them...

Make sure your gunsmith has a reamer used for chambering that will allow you to use the AI magazine. The AI mag will accept rounds up to 2.88" in length. Load development is much easier when the chamber OAL of the bullets(s) you have chosen matches the magazine OAL (assuming you want to use the magazine).

You've got the makings for a pretty sweet rifle, I'm drooling.
What are you going to do with the rifle, F-class, long range bush gun, range gun...? If you want to reach way out there a longer barrel may help, otherwise 24" will do'er.
I'm looking forward to your range report.

You're reloading, right?;)

Yes I reload. Cant wait to start developping a sweet load for it. I mostly want to use this rifle as a range gun and long range caribou hunting but who know's I might try a few F class with it. As for glass, I was thinking of nightforce F1 or the premier light tac model, does anyone knows where to get the best deals on those?
