After searching, staring, holding one in my hand, I finally figuratively pulled the trigger on my 1st revolver. Smith & Wesson 929 Performance Center Jerry Miculek 9mm 8 shot.
A bit more than I wanted to spend, but after having held one, it was a must have. Now to sit and wait for it's arrival. Already own 9mm semi's and figured I would stay with the calibre.

Congrats! Just got my first wheelgun a month and a half ago too! A 686 Target Champion. I'll give you fair warning....

Revolvers are freakin' fun! Stock up on ammo!

Aside from holding two too many rounds you done good.... :d

Originally I was all about the semi autos and thought the odd grips on revolvers would be very uncomfortable and they just felt odd to hold. But half way through my first cylinder shooting one I fell deeply in love with how well they fit and shoot.

At this point between single actions and double actions I've actually got way more revolvers and I'm fine with that. And I likely shoot at least two .38Spl for ever round of 9mm that I shoot.

Yes, they do get under your skin. But as sicknesses go it's a pretty acceptable one.... :d

Yannow, the older I get, and the worse my back gets - the more I appreciate not having to bend over and pick up all that goddamn brass the autos kick all over.

But...now that I think about that...I will still bend over and pick up brass anyways. When I was a kid and even reloading was almost too expensive to bear... I picked up every last piece of brass in my calibre that I could find and I still do it out of habit. By the time I have enough brass, I will change over to a wheelgun and be stuck with mountains of .45ACP brass!

If I get any older and seniler...I will be able to plan my own surprise parties...:(

Congrats on the 929!
9mm and .45ACP are what I shoot most in HG's…..and usually from revolvers:)

It only hold 2 too many today...
Germany is currently testing the 6 major / 8 minor concept and it seems from the response on the GV that it's been a positive step (while I disagree...).
Given that the door has been opened I fully expect this to go global with the next rule book (think of all the pistols it will sell).
So in a nut shell (my opinion) if IPSC does this:
-You could not have purchased a more desirable revolver.
-If S&W limits or stops it production like the 610 or 625 you will have a rapidly appreciating asset (rumour has it 610's are almost touch 2 grand now...).

And if they don't (unlikely) you still have a really nice pistol and made good choice,
Congrat's :)

Dude! what have you done to yourself indeed! Now the 357s & 44s will be your next nightmare. they will haunt you for the rest of your life.....

And Congrats!
