If you're talking about a GSG 1911 in 22LR tazz, as it comes from the factory you've got alot more than just 2 safeties going. Thumb, firing pin, beavertail grip, and mag, ( not counting the only one that really counts

: ( YOU ).

The only one that's a bit of a pain is the mag safety. Just no way to simulate speed reloads when it's grabbing your mags or test the trigger pull without the mag in place. That one's pretty easy and all over

youtube. Other than that, I'd leave the rest alone. I love my GSG but if you really, truly want a 1911 simulator to your main gun, the one and only way you're gonna get it is to build an identical lower, or buy just the

upper conversion and use your existing competition lower so it's always identical.

The Norc I'll let someone else help you with. Been to long since I fooled with one to give good advice on what the new production looks like or how it handles. Might be the plunger spring, but could be other stuff to.

1: pick the safety you like and fit and dont forget youll need different grips unless you dont mind the cut out
2: tear it down and clean it, probably some grit or crap in there and check the plunger and spring as well. Start free before you start spending your hard earned money

If you're referring to the ambidextrous safety, it's a two piece part. Simply remove the right side.

The Norc's issue could be crud in and around the plunger. I have heard of guys opening up the dimple/divot in the lever with an over sized drill bit to alter the approach angle of the plunger in relation to the dimple/divot...but I wouldn't recommend taking a drill bit to your gun unless you know what you're doing...we are talking about a safety device on a hand gun after all.

If the GSG is based off a regular 1911 design, you should be able to replace the existing one but the replacement will need to be fitted by a gunsmith unless you know what you are doing. Similarly, the Norc thumb safety may have a burr or need some minor fitting. Could be a simple 10min job if you know what you're doing 'else, take it and have it done by a qualified smith.
