Hello all;

I have been here for a few years now, and I browse through the forums a few times a week. Lately my wife has been reading over my shoulder more and more often. Today she signed up and started her own account, however I read somewhere, or at least I thought I did, that there is only 1 IP address allowed per account unless you have an admins permission or something to that effect. I looked back through a lot of stickies but can't seem to find the correct thread to re-read what we actually need to do. Do I have to PM a specific admin, or do I/we have to apply somewhere?

As long as you let the mods know why they will be ok with it. That's what I was told when I asked.

If its your wife what the big deal of signing on another pc with your id and using it?

If she wants to leave a comment, or ask a question on the forum it would seem incorrect that she would post as me... Maybe it's just me. I tend to work quite a bit in the winter and I had indicated that maybe she could find another lady that shares a hunting/shooting interest that may enjoy going hunting or just to the range. I really don't want to have some other ladies husband mad at me for something like that... You know what I mean I think.

I searched for this exact question. My girlfriend got her PAL and outdoors card shortly after we met. Now she really loves shooting and hunting, I am on here frequently, and she wants to join also. We live together, so this is alright? What mod do you contact to let them know? Jamie knows both of us, so hopefully not an issue.

On other sites I have modded on usually there is a tool which will list other users posting from the same IP . If it is only one and they are not constantly flaming and trolling people you disagree with it is not much of a problem generally . When it looks like a Sock drawer and you have 10-40 other accounts that all either agree with everything you post or troll and flame your online Nemesis' that is when it starts looking fishy . Although you have to be careful with things like public access and wifi hotspots so you don't inadvertently ban an entire town . lol Of course contacting a Mod and asking nicely is a lot easier than trying to skirt a ban and get back in .

Both my wife and my oldest son have accounts on CGN and we've all signed in from the same house (not at the same time mind you)...hasn't been an issue so far (but then again both of them don't sign in anywhere near what I do).
