2 different marstar optics...

Hello all, im planning on scoping my new norc m14 and since cost is in concideration, i was wondering if these two marstar leapers scopes are any good, the:
OPT 006 mildot 3-9x40mm tactical scope w. 5th. Gen optics and the
OPT 004 3-9x40mm illuminated electronic reticle

Has anyone bought these and tryed them out? i do not know anything about illuminated recticle scope...i assume they take batteries of some sort, how long is the batt life? thanks
 
does anyone have experience with the marstar optics? looks like they have redone their site...are the leapers or the "marstar" home brand scopes any good? does anyone know how long the batteries last on the illuminated scopes? thanks
 
Garbage...buy a name brand... save up and buy the best optics you can....don't trust a once in a lifetime shot to a piece of ####...

A warranty wont get your shot back............
 
I have a Leapers scope, it is crap!

Busnell makes a very respectable Banner series that has great optics, mil-dot 8X24 - 40mm scope for unde $200 cdn. I would opt for this over the crappy Leapers!

I haven't had much luck with the robustness of my leaper's.

The Banner series gives a good return for the cash. A Bushnell Banner 6-24 x 40 mildot is 169.95 at Wholesale sports in Alberta. Or an Elite 3200 10 x 40 mildot is 239.95 at the same store. Check it out online.
 
Leapers Scopes

I was planning on buying the same Leapers scope, thanks for the heads-up.
So I am also on a budget to scope my m-305, any suggestions.

im now going to go with either the bushnell elite 3200 10x mildot or one of the leopold replica scopes (pending review.....there is another forum open for that) at $240 the elite 3200 is a good buy from what ive heard....so i will likly get that. obviously 240 is still alot of money (imo b/c i am a cheap sob like you 7018) but i think i can justify the purchase.....getting a crap scope will only be annoying later.

wrong i bought one and they are quite good but do get distorted in the higher magnification they are really heavy i would say they are way better then Tasco and Bushnell entry levels for the same price.
