2nd Gen what is difference?
I see ambi mag release...more then that? (safety still on back on left?)
Flat Top Upper looks different then first gen.
Cabelas has Gen 1 FTU.
I see Gen 2 FTU comes with Iron sights generally.

I've handled and shot a friend's. It didnt have any malfunctions on the first trip out and that was a couple hundred rounds.
Yep, it has an ambi mag release and the reverse (original) mag release button is bigger. Selector switch is also enlarged and a much longer recoil spring than my Gen1. Everything's machined a bit nicer. Charging handle is non reciprocating and reversible. The iron sights are actually nicely made but there's not enough rail space to move the rear peep far enough back to use it properly. It really needs an optic and those are just backups.
Magwell is maybe even tighter than the Gen1s, so you may want to widen the "spine" to use it with most mags. (Not too much, you want to "without undue effort" not "drop free" and pull out the bolt hold open before you do.)
While there is an allen key-shaped tool in the cleaning kit, it's not the right size to remove the top rail. (I have the same tool in my Gen1 which has no screws that would use a hex key so it's function is a mystery)

Yes the feeding is improved, infact it is flawless.
Top rail is nice and low, perfect cheekweld with the KAC clone sights. The sights are functional but is for backup use only.
2 screws secure the top rail, be sure to degrease and locktite it secure after you settle on the side of the charging handle.
The rails are off spec and made 1mm wider than standard 1913 rail, will fit tight on certain optic mounts so be aware.
Side charging handle works well, but sits very close to the top rail, make sure you test clearance with optics/mounts or you will curse in blood.
Keymod side slots are cut proper, however forget attaching anything too close to the charging handle.
Magazine well is still too tight, back ridge needs fine sanding to feed Pmags.
Pmags are not the best choice as there is no over insertion stop. Make sure you insert and pull on an open bolt with Pmags.
Recommend STANAG mags as it is designed for, they are alot smoother in and out. Drops free after lots of insertions.
Rear cheek top cover fits a bit loose, DIY by adding material to fit tight if needed.
