Well they finally arrived, and both in the same week! I was just recently able to take them to the range and im thrilled! Both performed great and were a blast to shoot. I ordered the NP34 from SFRC with 2 additional mags, as always it was a smooth transaction. The finish is pretty good on the Norc and the function was flawless, i put about 300 rounds through it. sights are bang on and trigger wasnt bad. The grips are horrible and im looking for replacements, a little grip tape will work for now. I purchased the Pietta from Prophet River, first time dealing with them and it was great :) Lots of email contact the whole time. They had to do a bit of searching for me because i was specific in what i wanted, 4.75" 1873 Nickel Plated with "Ivory" grips in .45LC. This is a beast to shoot lol! Its my first large caliber revolver and i love it. Here is a few pics:

Thanks to both the sponsors for truly great service:cool:

The only thing better than a new gun is two!

How does the pietta shoot? POA or a little low front sight looks high. Always wondered about these but never held one.

Just wait till everyone wants to shoot your cowboy gun. You tell them it's close to a buck a bullet but they arnt happy with just Firing one cylinder full of ammo. They want to shoot three or four. Your in trouble then. I've got a good lead of a guy who makes good holsters for cheap (I think 90 bucks shipped) and its custom i found him on ebay and could not be happier with his work and price. Cause you can't have a cowboy gun without the holster.

bollox: Pietta shoots great but you're right, it shoots a tad low. To be fair I only put 36 rounds through it. The fit and finish is awesome! Feels very well built.

Great Pietta, I love mine. It's very well made, and a total blast to shoot. Agree with the above, you need a holster. I bought a very nice custom holster from eBay seller skincarvers for under $50 - does the trick. Have fun!

Congratz on the 2 new pieces.

Man that NP34 is a no brainer, I really wanted one from this order but I had so much other gear to stock up on. I like that Pietta too. I switched from 357 to 44-40 on my Uberti's last year, those big slugs do rock the peacemaker don't they?
