if you just want to mount a vert grip or flashlight, often a weaver scope mount is what you want. Look through the wholesale sports catalog. There are weaver mounts for all sorts of guns that will run you 2 ~2 inch pieces for $10-15. Or, you can buy a longer piece from a TC that is about 5-6 inches long, and will cost about $20.

I have not bought one in about 2 yrs, so my prices may be off, but I am sure whole sale still has them.
