2-Point Sling 8.5"Dlask/Rem - Help

Hello...need some help/suggestions.

I'm almost convinced I prefer a 2-point sling for my 8.5"Dlask/Rem SG.
Question: Anyone know where can I get a mag cap that will fit a 2" web sling?
For the butt, I'm just going with a simple loop wrapped around the rear of the butt stock.

Looking at it there is not enough room to fit a front sling plate style attachment that fits behind the mag cap, the forend would have to be trimmed back to allow clearance to function properly.

You can buy a mag cap (Uncle Mike's?) with swivelling sling loop attached to the end of the cap, but that is smaller than a 2" (1 or 11/4" IIRC)

Not sure what to suggest.

Ike, I also thought about a sling plate but you're right...there isn't enough room and I really don't want to trim the forend. The largest swivel sling loop I've found so far is only 1".

i recall seeing a sling mount on a AR once that clipped onto it's aftermarket heat shield quad rail....

i dont think you would overly enjoy a 2" sling swivel on that end cap either... you would have to watch it like a hawk to avoid it getting infront of the muzzle.

It would be a simple job (for an appropriately qualified individual - the CMA clause) to trim the forend for clearance.
Here is mine, it might give you some ideas. I have a Spectre 3-point that I use in 2 point configuration, I will take it apart and cut out all the unnecessary webbing and trim the ends some day. My 8.5 has the first generation forend (like they are using on their new 6.5" version) so the forend has the necessary clearance. Of the five different front sling plates I tried, I like the Dlask version the best and it is the only one I use these days.

What I've narrowed it down to is a shot shell holder (15 rounds) that will fit a minimun length of 28" (measured from front swivel to butt mount).
Something like this....Anyone know where I can get one with a front mag cap/swivel?

Went to LeBaron's and bought a set of Uncle Mike's Quick Detachable Super Swivels (#1561-2) and attached the front one to the existing mag cap. Still probably going with a simple loop for the butt stock with a D-ring. Ordered the above Galati 15rnd shell holder/sling.
I'll post more pics when the sling comes in

Ike, how do you like the "rifle" sight? Does it work?
I'm thinking about getting one installed for shooting slugs. I'm guessing a smith needs to install it?
