2 Questions: SKS, AK

Both Izhevsk and Tula (Tulsky Oruzheiny Zavod TOZ www.tulatoz.ru/en) continue to manufacture both military and sporting firearms.

These factory and production centres have a very long history. Tula was created as a state weapons site under Czar Peter the Great, in 1712. Izhevsk was created in 1805 under Czar Alexander I as a weapons production site in the Ural mountains.

Russia has been independent in the production of martial weapons for her armies for centuries.
