20" barrel Rifle length gas system with front post and handguard ferrule Options for

I'm looking for what options are avail to me with the subj info. I recently purchased a KAC M5 RAS and am dying to throw it onto something, and the only real thing I can find are SA20's. I'd love one, but don't really care for the new stock with the large side magwell stamp, and honestly wish I could just grab the upper as I already have an Enhanced IUR upper/lower.

Who carries classic 20" M16 style uppers?

Arms East and the Stag series, they do an upper kit (AE only seems to have the lefty version on their site) Or possibly Armalite from Wolverine? Can't find too much in stock right now, so you might have to order something up.

OR you can just build an upper, easy enough to get components. You should be able to get a completed barrel kit (FSB installed) and just install the gas tube once it's on an upper.

States in the description it does not come with a front sight post. Does that simply mean the small piece isnt there, but the triangular front housing is?

Also, is that their own house brand, or who even makes that barrel?

Correct, that's what it means. I just bought one a couple weeks ago. They've also got A1 style stripped uppers on there last I checked.

I'd been passively shopping for these parts all year, and TNA must have got them in relatively recently. Before that, options for A1 stripped uppers and 20" pencil barrels with FSB installed were really scarce.

I have no idea about brand tbh. There might be some info in their subforum already posted, or you could ask them about it

Stag would be your best bang for your buck. You can also check the ee. Sa20s pop up from time to time. Hell there might be one on there now.

According to Wikipedia, Norinco doesn't make barrels in 1:9 twist, only 1:12 and 1:7.

So you believe everything you read on the internet? The Dominion Arms 20” rifles came in both 1:9 and 1:12.

I’m not saying the TNA is a Norc.

Well, I bought one the other day, waiting on shipment now. I've dealt with TNA in the past and they're good people. I highly doubt they would sell Chinese barrels as "no name". They've even stated Norinco doesn't meet their standard of quality for their in-house brands.

Well, I ordered a pencil barrel with installed FSB. The order was processed, listed as complete and a tracking number provided. Canada Post's site listed the number as invalid and about two weeks later I get an email that they're out of stock, yet still took payment. They offered me a more expensive 16" barrel for some reason, then offered a 20" M4 profile barrel with FSB.

It arrived today with the FSB not installed, finish flaking off in the bag, no holes drilled to install it and no taper pins provided, and a round handguard cap that doesn't work with triangular bandguards despite telling them it was a retro build and them telling me they had triangular caps in stock.

I think a return is the only course of action here... That sounds terrible. I mean, it's not completely uncommon to have a barrel not drilled for taper pins (because you do that in 1 step with the FSB) but that's if you buy a brand new barrel and front sight separately.

Without knowing who the barrel comes from there's no way to tell if it has integrity or if it was some takeoff from a norinco or something else...
