20 gauge semi auto

Buy what fits you, the Browning Silver and the SX-3 are great choices for a reasonable price. There are still some SX-3s available, at discount prices.

On the SX3
If you intend to hunt deer with it finding a rifled barrel is next to impossible and very pricey.
I look around every once in a while non to be had.

Pricey on Winchesters web page.

Of course proper fit is first and foremost, thrown in for good measure is your budget. I've had a Benelli M2 26", excellent gun, Beretta 391 26", again great gun and now have a Beretta Xplor 28" with KO and it has been excellent. The only reason I sold the M2 was i just didn't use it enough, so away it went. The Beretta 391 was sold because it just didn't swing well for me and something else caught my eye so away it went. Then a while later and after a shoulder/arm injury, I decided that I needed another 20 gauge semi, so a bought the A400 Xplor with KO and its a pleasure to shoot. I've never owned a SX3, but know a few folks that do and they have nothing but good things to say about them.

Most modern autos are pretty reliable....depends on your tastes and what you like in guns.Ease of cleaning?, balanced swing? Price? Nice wood? Proven track record? Weight?
If you can find one, The Benelli Legacy is a great 20.Very light, well balanced, and extremely well built. Some have very nice furniture. This was Benelli at its best. The design is so simple cleaning, is a pleasure, although the inertia design doesn’t get dirty like gas autos.Gas autos are pretty reliable now, but they are dirty and they will eventually cause trouble if you don’t clean regularly. They are not as easy to clean as inertia guns.My 2 pennies...

I bought a Franchi Affinity 20 ga. to use as a "rain gun" but found that I like to shoot it even on sunny days. However I agree with brybenn that the explor is a much nicer gun and one in 20 ga would be a nice addition to my 12 ga.

The only problem with my Affinity is that it does not cycle 20 ga Challengers. No problems with any other ammo.

I too have the Franchi Affinity in 20ga. I bought it for use in wet weather hunts so not to use my doubles. Mine is the latest version model 3. Mine cycles everything I have tried in it including 7/8 oz 1200fps target loads and I recommend it.
