20 gauge SxS vs O/U

I was somewhat humbled this year when I bought a Hammerless single shot 28 gauge off the equipment exchange site this year. I thought it might be cool to try. This is a gun that cost $11.10 when it was made back in the day. The American version cheap farmer gun. First time out three Huns with four shots. Took it with on a five day pheasant, sharptail, Hun hunt. After shooting 60% or less with the Webley and Scott and Belgian SxS 16 gauges and having lots of action I switched to the single shot. My average went up closer to 90%. Partly gun fit, trigger pull and the subconscious idea that I only had one shot to take but it was a full choke. I still love side by sides but if the Stoeger or Huglu fits, shoot it. Don't judge a man by the number, position or cost of his barrels. But don't go looking too hard for those single shots either.
