Some scopes made by IOR (a Romanian company) and U.S. Optics have a dial where one revolution = 20 MOA. They also have the usual 1/8 or 1/4 MOA adjustments. The 20 MOA dial sounds like a great idea to me for long distance shooting. No need to remember how many tiny little clicks you turned to adjust for the new range. One or two turns should do it.

Anybody heard of a feature like this in a mainstream scope (i.e. one that might be available in Canada?)

Why would the number 20 be an advantage? Leupolds are 15 minutes to a revolution, and at least some bushnells are 10 moa per turn. Leupold also has scopes that have 60 MOA on one turn of the turret and only one turn possible. That could be an advantage since you can't get lost in your scope, but comes at the cost of coarse adjustments.

Why are you counting clicks? Those MOA marks are there for a reason.

Thanks for the info on the Leopolds - I didn't know that. I find those little markings on the turrets very difficult to read, particularly in dim light. That's why I'd like a dial that changes elevation 20 MOA (or 15 or whatever) with one turn and still leaves the micro adjustments for fine tuning.

Meaningless aside: I shoot an older B&L on one LR rifle, and its 9 mins per revolution.....I find it a real pain, especially coming back to zero....

Mind you, grade 4 was quite a challenge as well.....

Some Sightrons also have 20MOA/revolution.

I personally think a really large turret with 30-40 would be just great, as long as it retained accurate tacticle 1/4 clicks.

One of my Bushnell 4200s has 7MOA per rev. It's a little bit of a pain. Especially when shooting silhouette as it needs just over one turn to reach the rams.

Cheers,
Grant
