I have a Leupold conquest scope with custom turrets. I was told I may need to put 20moa rails on my gun. is there anyone out there that can point me in the direction of someone that can do this or a solution as to how I can do this.

Why don't you shoot it first. Depending on caliber, range, range of adjustment and where it zeros out now you might need a 20 MOA rail, or maybe you need more, or maybe you don't need anything.

Are you sure you don't mean Zeiss Conquest? Or Leupold something else?

Haha yes you are right.. I don't know why I wrote Leupold. it has been mounted and does not sight in properly. I need someone good to look at it and build a proper base so that it dials through to the top range of the dial. if it needs more than 20moa so be it, but i have no idea how to figure out what it needs. Or I sell the scope and buy one that will work with my Sako.

Standard scope and standard bases and rings should work... Something else must be the issue.

What bases, rings, and model of rifle are you running?

Also, you say you have custom turrets, what exactly do you mean by this? Are you having trouble zeroing at 100 yards? You don't really need to be at the top range of the dial in order to sight a scope in.

Whooaa!.......No disrespect whatsoever....but I fear you are confused about what's happening and what you expect from your rifle and scope. Please clarify what you are shooting, where you are trying to sight, and the results you're seeing. ....you will receive excellent (And expert) guidance here when your situation is understood......

X2. Please explain what you're trying to do.

If I understand you correctly, you can’t zero your scope because there’s not enough range of adjustment as it sits on your rifle right now?

Check out Burris XTR signature rings. They come with inserts that allow you to add elevation to either the front or rear of your scope which will give you enough room on your dial to get zeroed. The 20 moa rail will accomplish the same thing.

Most scopes come in 1 inch, 30mm, and 34mm tube sizes. IIRC the general rule for these was 1 inch 0-10 MOA, 30mm tubes 20-30 MOA bases, 34mm tubes, 30-40 MOA bases. These are ment for 100-200 meter zeros I believe. I would be mindful of the scope height for a zero under 50 meters. The higher it is, the more danger space you need to account for I suppose.

What???

Wtf are you talking about!?

I think he is referencing how scopes with bigger tubes generally have a larger range elevation adjustment, and can therefore use a larger MOA rail and still be able to zero. For example, putting a 40moa rail on a 1" scope probably won't zero at 100m.
