200 grain .358

I have shot a few deer with that bullet from .358 Win and .350 Rem Mag... they die... pretty much like a .30/06 with a 180 SST... I would be happy with a .358/FTX out to 250... assuming your rig shoots.

So basically same performance as regular 200 gr interlock. Loaded up and ready for bear at the end of the month, going to try spot and stock in the oats

I have some loaded for my 350 Rem mag. Same thoughts as hoytcanon, dead is dead.
I think I just found a better bullet now. Federal fusion which is the same bullet as Speer deep curl. These are factory pulled from 35 Whelan ammo. Look good, like the protected point.
200gn Accubonds for moose.

I use 200 RCL in my Whelen No.1-A, and 250 Partitions in my M77 MKII Stainless 350 Rem Mag and 200 RN's in my M77 MKII 350 Rem Mag... the 200 FTX is my favourite in my BLR 358.

Shot a little mulie buck last fall with a 200 gr FTX out of my bolt action .35 Rem. It worked well.

Still use RCL in all of my calibers when I can find them. But certain calibers are not available or hard to find, that is why I also look for Deep Curls/ Federal fusions.

I got lucky and found 1K of .35 cal 200 RCL's, so I am good for awhile... the deer are in trouble.

Also, picked up 1K .284 150 RCL's and 1K .308 180 RCL's...

Just got lucky with a chance meeting at the gunshop.

Looking for any feedback from experience on game for the 200 gr Hornady FTX in .358 Winchester. Specifically deer and bear.

I've never used them on game but a lot of people swear by the std. Hornady 200gr Interlock for deer and bear. I'd try them first.

Good advise . I've never used the .358 cal FTX's , but I've used the 200 gr Interlocks in several rifles over the years . The Interlocks worked really well for me on more than a few deer . I'll date myself and compare them to the Remington 200gr core locks that used to be readily available . I found the Hornady's to be , on average , more accurate in a few different 35's I've owned , including two 358's . The FTX's are , by design , a more frangible bullet , but should work well enough . That being said , I don't know if I'd trust them on heavy bone . I've tried the 325gr 45/70 FTX's on a few animals , including a , roughly , 250 pound black bear . The bear dropped at the shot , heart / lungs , but there wasn't much left of the bullet but fragments . It did the job , but I don't think I'll be giving up on the more heavily constructed bullets any time soon , YMMV .

The standard interlock is what I was using but all I can find on the shelf at any retailers in MB are the FTX. They will get a tryout this fall but .358 cal bullets are hard to find in any brand !

Old Hornady interlock bullets used to be excellent, new produced ones are not so.
Whenever possible try to look for old boxes of them with metal reinforced corners,
those are the ones who have much thicker jackets and larger interlock inside them.
I know, I cut both examples and difference is there.

I've had success with the FTX. I tend to find them a little more accurate (generally irrelevant) for hunting purposes out of most all of my 35 Cal guns. No problems holding together with the deer I've taken. With my elk I prefer the 225grain Barnes. These shoot great as well out of my guns. Happy hunting!
