Looking for a high end 200 yard toy. I have a couple of grand burning a hole in my pocket and was thinking of either an Anschutz or a Cooper. I realize the Cooper is more money but I'm unsure of the Anschutz 1771 Germany stock? I wish they still made the 1770 Monte Carlo like my 1712 .22lr rifle. Probably stay with .223 though the Cooper has an Ackley Improved version. Top it off with some nice German glass and life is good. Decisions decisions:p

Anschutz would be a good choice dude. Less likely to have any issues unless the cooper is a older model. Anschutz will shoot as good for less money. Other then the coopers having nice wood a CZ runs as well for a half the price. Good luck on the decision making

I agree on collecting parts and building exactly what you want. I would also look into a 6.5X47 or even a 6X47 Lapua. Very accurate and almost no recoil. Case life lasts almost forever. What's not to like? I just built my second 6.5X47 on a trued R700SA, Wildcat stock, Benchmark #3 fluted 25", trigger tech. With a Z5 5-25X52 BT finishes right at 8 lbs. $2500 should get you close on a build. Depending what the smith's in your area charge. Mine is very reasonable so my prices may be off a bit. Action$600, trigger$1-150, Barrel $530, Stock $400, BM $200, Chamber and true action $4-500. With a little patience looking in the classifieds most of these parts come up. Good luck with your decision.
