2006 Colt Mark IV Series 70 Government Model Questions

I have a blued 2006 Mark IV Series 70 Colt. It's in great shape but upon receiving it I noticed the one and only mag in the original colt custom shop box was a no name aftermarket one. Which got me wondering what other parts might have been swapped. So after removing the slide I also noticed that the lip on the recoil spring guide rod appears to be hard plastic, do any Colt experts out there know if this is factory correct? Lastly, the recoil spring plug appears to be stainless even though it's a blued gun. Hopefully someone can help me find out if this appears original.

Your guide rod is not common and probably not factory. Same for your plug. I've never seen a factory stainless plug in a blued gun. FWIW, it's okay and will work just fine.

Lots of competition guys run full length guide rods and reverse plugs for reliability reasons. You might want to do that and get it in blue if you like that look better.
