2008 New England IDPA Regional Championships (Photos & Videos added)

Spent the evening shooting a 'club match' at the Smith & Wesson Shooting Sports Center in Springfield, MA. (Got introduced to and got to shoot with Leland N., the COO of S&W and also Tony M., the fellow in charge of the S&W Performance Center!!!)

Tomorrow, I shoot the pre-match (with my S&W Model 19) to the 2008 New England IDPA Regional Championships ( http://www.idpa.com/major_match_info.asp?Match_Name=2008 New England Regional Championship )and Saturday & Sunday I'll be SOing Stages 5 & 6. I'm shooting/working with Craig B., a Master Class SSR shooter (he's also a S&W sponsored shooter) who I met at the Italian/European Championships last year. He'll be mentoring my performance.

Hopefully I'll also get a chance to get some photos too and I'll post them as soon as I'm able.

I'm sitting in the Manchester, NH airport waiting for my flight (which has been delayed twice ) so I thought I'd post a report and some photos/videos.

Shot the match on Friday along with all the SOs. Didn't do as well as I'd hoped (way too many ponts down ). I also had some 'ignition' problems on the early stages but a tightening of the strain screw solved that. But shooting with Craig B. the S&W sponsored Master Class revolver shooter was great! He gave me all sorts of advice and pointers. Now I have to practice them in order to put them to good use in future matches.

SO'd all day Saturday & Sunday. Worked with a a fellow named Mike C. from Conneticutt. Got to watch all sorts of great shooting (and some not so great ) Had dinner Saturday evening at a great seafood restaurant and along with Craig, his wife Kim and Mike, got to socialize with Dave K. and his wife Bonnie. Dave is the General Manager of Wolff Gunsprings!
