The Wild Rose Action Shooters invite you to join us for the 2009 Canadian Steel Challenge pistol competition, to be held on September 19 and 20 at the Spruce Grove Gun Club.

Eight stages per day of all steel targets, and special low match fees !

You may enter up to three pistols, for three times the shooting fun, in three of the many categories including .22 rimfire.

Holster training is not mandatory – those without prior holster training will start from a low ready position. In fact, all .22 rimfire pistols start from a low ready position so that no holsters are required for those categories.

Steel Match

Darn,

This is the same date we are planning on having our IDPA Postal match in Peace River.

I would have loved to attend this. I hope to see more of these in the future so I can attend.

Sorry to hear that you can't attend. We are planning on holding more Steel Challenge matches in the coming months, and will be posting them with much more notice in the future.

Even if you can't make this particular match, be sure to peruse our website. Most of our matches are three gun matches, which are a blast !

Greg,

Steel Challenge is easy to shoot, you could shoot two guns in one day and the guys are really flexible. It's possible that some of the RO's etc. will even shoot on Friday. If you want to shoot, they will find a way to make it happen.
 
damnation, work gets in the way again. gonna see if I can schedule this somehow. this isn't any moving is there really? a person with a toasted foot could still do this right?

Not much hopping around at the Steel Challenge. Stand in the box, shoot the steel targets. In fact a person with a bagelled foot could shoot it. :)

See what you can do to schedule it - we'd be glad to see you there.

Early birds save money

Folks

Just a reminder to get your entries in for the 2009 Canadian Steel Challenge. We’ve managed to keep registration fees low for the early birds, but after September 10 they increase, so get your entries sent in ASAP ! See you there !

I don't think so, most of the range will be used for Steel Challenge.

Wild TV will be filming this event for one of their programs. Nice to have some Canadian action shooting on TV for a change!
 
steel challenge

I understand this is 2 days....is it a separate match each day or same match with different stages over 2 days, I can only make up there for Sunday. It would be my first steel challenge, looks like fun.
 
You only have to be at the match one day.
The match is being set up over two days to cycle more people through the stages.


So if anyone has any spare time this weekend come on out.


Screw that actually,

cancel all your other plans and come out to the range instead :)
