2010 Spirit of America National Fullbore Rifle Prone Championship

Dates: September 12 through September 18, 2010. Firing will begin at 8 AM each day.
Location: George Tubb Range, NRA Whittington Center, Raton, New Mexico, USA
General Information: There are currently 254 beds available for housing at the NRA Whittington Center. There is a Recreational Vehicle (caravan) campground that is equipped with full hookups. Reservations should be made at the following: NRA Whittington Center P.O. Box 700, Raton, NM 87740, Phone: (575) 445-3615, Fax: (575) 445-9418. Additional housing is available at many motels in nearby Raton, New Mexico. It is recommended that reservations be made early for the competitor housing. The center will begin accepting housing reservations after February 1, 2010. These are two person rooms and sharing with other competitors is recommended. More information on the NRA Whittington Center is available on the web at: http://www.nrawc.org/. Food service at the NRA Whittington Center may be available, providing there is enough interest. The hours of operation are 6 AM to 6 PM daily.

Entry Closing Date and Fees: Advance entries are recommended. Entries close September 8, 2010 and entries should be mailed to arrive before that date, however late entries will be accepted at the range providing they do not exceed the range capacity. Late entries after September 8 may be assessed a $20.00 late fee. Individual entry fees will be: $175.00. Fees for juniors will be $80.00. Team Match fees will be: $160.00 for 8 man teams and $80.00 for the four man teams. Team entries are requested on the day preceding the team match however entries may be made on the day of the match at least one-half hour prior to start time. Daily fees for individuals will be $60.00 for one day, $100.00 for two days. Entry fees include a daily range fee of $15.00 to the NRA Whittington Center.
Categories: Target rifle; F-Class (open); F-Class (T/R). There will be separate awards for each category. F-class (T/R) may be combined with F-Class (open) if there are insufficient entries to support a separate category.
Rules: The rulebook for NRA International Fullbore Rifle will be used and is available on the Internet at: http://www.nrahq.org/compete/rules/fullbore_09.pdf The rules will also be available at Match Headquarters.
Competitor Eligibility: This competition is open to all. All competitors (including International shooters) are encouraged to join the NRA USA. Applications are available at the Stat Office or online at www.nra.org. Cost for 1-year membership is $35.00. NRA-USA membership is required for setting National Records.
