27 & 28 CSRA Service Rifle Provincials (two day event)

September:
24 & 25 CSRA Precision Rifle Provincials (two day event)

October:
22 & 23 CSRA Carbine / SR clinic

November:
5 & 6 CSRA Battle Rifle Memorial match

CSRA General Notes:
- Match fees are free for CSRA members, $15 for all guests per single day.
- All match walk-backs, clinics and other preparation to be held on Saturday afternoon at 12pm for Sunday match unless noted as a two day event.
- Course of fire for Service Rifle will remain as matches 1 - 12 from the 2009 DCRA course of fire.
- Course of fire for Carbine matches are tbd, but watch here for further info.

We are a very laid back bunch. If you come to watch, you might as well partake in the match
All match dates (Sundays for the most part) will have the proceeding Saturday for:
- walk-backs (getting your come-ups for the different ranges)
- Practice
- Impromtu clinics
- Intros for new shooters on our scoring, butts and firing point operations, range safety, and general range use for new APRA/CSRA members.

Awards are limited for the most part to bragging rights.

How many magazines and rounds of ammo should one bring out?

For the Service Rifle course of fire, I like to role with 3 mags as a minimum -and round count, bring around 150. (this should cover the 126 rounds in the course of fire and a re-shoot of a match if things get mucked up - but that rarely happens).

For the carbine matches - we have yet to finalize it, but probably around the 120 - 140 rounds range with some form of load bearing gear (webbing or vest) that will allow fairly swift mag changes. Mag count will be somewhere in the 6 to 8 range.

We were doing some pistol matches with our 1-12, but it can make for a long day. We will likely role pistol in with the carbine matches.

Better to RSVP ahead of time. There are a limited # of slots, and although we don't usually max them out, knowing how many are committed to come ahead of time is always best. If we know we are going to cap, we can open up a saturday match day as well, or something like that, but if everyone just rocks up on Sunday, we have to create a course of fire ad-hoc. Less of a problem in the summer when the days are long. Really just determines how fluid the matches are.

np, but what's this watching stuff? Get 126 rnds of something loaded for some rifle, and come out and play. If we wanted you to watch, we'd put it on youtube.
